About The National Qualifying Examination for the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO 2026)

The Sabah Al Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity, one of the centers of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS), in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, invites Kuwaiti male and female students from public and private schools in grades 9, 10, and 11 to apply for the National Qualifying Examination for the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO), scheduled to be held in July 2026 in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

At the Sabah Al Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity, we are seeking the young Kuwaiti scientist and researcher who is passionate about chemistry, to provide them with the necessary resources to refine their skills and prepare them under the guidance of world-class expert trainers.

The National Qualifying Examination for the International Chemistry Olympiad consists of multiple-choice questions, some of which may be entirely new to the student. Through this exam, we aim to assess and measure the student’s level, to set training standards that ensure the enhancement of their academic performance in the subject.

We therefore encourage all eligible students who have a passion and love for chemistry to register and benefit from this national exam. It will be an enriching and enjoyable experience filled with knowledge and learning, and it will qualify them to participate in the International Chemistry Olympiad 2026.

Registration Requirements for the National Chemistry Examination:

-The applicant must be a Kuwaiti national.
-The applicant must be in grade 9, 10, or 11.
-The applicant must be enrolled in either public or private education.
-The applicant must have good command of the English language (written and spoken).
-The applicant must have a passion for, or show excellence in, scientific fields.
