The Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity (SACGC), a subsidiary of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS), is thrilled to offer an exclusive opportunity for 8 Kuwaiti innovators to participate in Web Summit Qatar 2025.This initiative aims to empower local talent by providing a platform to showcase their ventures and engage with the global tech community.

Web Summit Qatar, which debuted in 2024, is a premier technology conference attracting industry leaders, tech enthusiasts, investors, and emerging entrepreneurs. The 2025 edition, taking place at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC), will bring together thousands of participants to explore the latest trends and innovations shaping the future of technology.
This event offers unparalleled opportunities for networking, learning, and growth, positioning participants at the forefront of technological advancements.

Innovations must align with one or more of the following sectors:

SACGC will select up to 8 innovators to attend the Qatar Web Summit 2025. Selected participants must meet the following criteria:

Nationality and Age Group:
Open to Kuwaiti nationals only, with priority given to applicants aged 21 to 35 years.
Project Stage:
Applicants must possess either an actual product or at least a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) or Beta-stage solution.
Evaluation Session Attendance:
Applicants must be physically present during the evaluation session to pitch their ideas in front of the selection committee. Virtual attendance may be considered in exceptional cases, subject to prior approval from SACGC.
Communication Skills:
Applicants must demonstrate effective communication skills and be proficient in English.

Program Commitment:
Selected participants must commit to attending the full duration of the program.

Acknowledgment and Confidentiality:
All selected participants will be required to sign an Acknowledgment Agreement to protect confidential information shared during the program.
Media and Promotional Use:
SACGC reserves the right to use participant information and project details for media and promotional purposes.

Applicants will pitch their ideas to the selection committee and will be evaluated based on:

Product Readiness

Level of development and market readiness

Market Size

Potential market demand and growth opportunities

Traction/Accomplishments

Evidence of progress, such as sales, partnerships, or user engagement

Business Model

Sustainability and scalability of the strategy

Team Background/Strength

Expertise, experience, and cohesion of the founding team

Communication Capability

Expertise, experience, and cohesion of the founding team

English Proficiency

Competence in English for effective communication and participation

All aspiring founders and inventors with operational tech businesses are mandated to submit their pitch decks for evaluation. You can access a sample pitch deck and guidelines for crafting your own in the section below. A professional business committee will review these pitch decks to identify the top 8 applicants. This evaluation is part of our ongoing call for applicants' campaign, concluding on 2nd of February 2025.

What is a pitch deck and how will my pitch deck be graded?
 
A pitch deck is usually a 07-20 slides presentation designed to give a short summary of your company, your business plan, and your startup vision. Pitch decks also serve very different purposes, from trying to get a meeting with a new investor, to presenting in front of a stage.

Your slides will be Graded from 1 to 5 (1 is low, 5 is top grade)

  1. Problem (Clarity of the problem that you’re solving)
  2. Solution (Clarity of the problem that you’re solving)
  3. Product (Screenshots of your technology product, website, or your app)
  4. Market Size (How big is your market and is it scalable?)
  5. Business Model (How do you make money?)
  6. Competition (Your competition metrics, who competes with you in the market)
  7. Better/Different (What makes you different?)
  8. Marketing Plan (What is your go-to-market strategy?)
  9. Team Slide (Who is with you in this venture?)
  10. Traction / Milestones (Share your success, number of active users, active followers, and your yearly or monthly growth. You don’t need to share anything confidential)
