About the program

In line with the strategic goals of the Sabah Al Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity, a subsidiary of One of Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) centers, the SACGC Global Enrichment program offers students a chance to obtain a fully paid scholarship and gain admission to the world's most prestigious international universities with the highest ranking (Forbes and QS).

Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY) is more than a summer camp: CTY’S 3-week on- campus summer courses bring together advanced learners from around the world to explore sciences, mathematics, engineering and more, allowing young scholars to expand their knowledge surrounded by a community of peers who share their love of learning. CTY’s On-Campus Courses (OCP) at JHU site (Session 2) in the areas of Computer Science and Technology, Mathematics and Science and Engineering:

  • Advanced Topics in Physics: Special Relativity (Grades 10-11)
  • Astrophysics (Grades 10-11)
  • Cryptology (Grades 10-11)
  • Epidemiology (Grades 10-11)
  • Investigations in Engineering (Grades 10-11)
  • Principles of Engineering Design (Grades 10-11)
  • Global Environment (Grades 9+)
  • The Mathematics of Competitive Behaviour (Grades 10-11)

Terms and Conditions

  • The student must be a Kuwaiti Citizen

  • To enroll in CTY’s on- campus courses, students must be under 18 years old before September 1, 2025 AND must be enrolled in high school.

  • The student must be capable to travel to the United States of America for the summer camp program

  • The student must request a nonimmigrant F-1 student visa if accepted to the program.

  • The centre covers the expenses and costs of the program in addition to the student's travel ticket in economy class.

  • All programs mentioned by the center cover the following (accommodation and meals, which will be provided by the university or the program provider).

  • It will not be permissible for the guardian to change the place of stay for their accepted child. It is mandatory for students to stay in university housing grounds.

  • The guardian is solely responsible for obtaining health insurance, which covers the countries of the program. The parents will pay any fees for registration forms of the programs.

  • The guardian is obligated to sign the acknowledgment form that stipulates the statutory and behavioral rules and CTY’s Authorization and Consent (A&C) form to give SACGC access to the student’s related academic records at CTY.

  • Priority for admission is to the first 10 completed applications who fulfill CTY admission requirements and obtain the approval of SACGC committee.

  • All test (US$60) and application (US$60) fees will be covered by the parent of the student

  • If the student is given any electronic device (laptop, iPad etc.) from the University during the duration of the program, it is the students’ full responsibility to return it and if there is any cost it will be the responsibility of the parent to pay. Furthermore, SACGC will not be held liable for any damage caused.

  • SACGC will not support or fund any student that has already taken part in the SACGC university residential programs previously.

    Observations

    The center is keen on the diversity of programs accredited by multiple international bodies, and from this point of view, obtaining unconditional admission from one of the accredited universities does not mean final acceptance in the center's program "Sacgc Global Enrichment".
    -The Center will go through a thorough eligible application process which consists of the date of acceptance, date of submission of applications to the Center, and then a final list of the scholarship admissions will be drawn up of the center.
    -The Center has the right to cancel/withdraw the sponsorship under any circumstance determined by SACGC without incurring any claims.
